
Unit of illumination. Lux is a metric measure of illumination approximately equal to 10 foot candles (1 lux = 10.764 fc).
One lux represents the illumination provided by a household candle at a distance of one metre and is equivalent to a luminous flux of 1 lumen, which evenly illuminates an area of 1m 2
