Film partnerships
Deluxe/Kodak
The Deluxe/Kodak Collection is the result of an NFSA initiative that builds on the already successful collaboration with our valued project partners, Atlab Australia and Kodak (Australasia) Pty Ltd, to preserve and make available a selection of significant colour Australian feature films – in the format and condition they were originally intended to be seen. The project spans five years until 2011, and in that time pristine prints of 25 titles will have been produced for the Cinema Lending Collection.
Kodak/Atlab
The Kodak/Atlab Collection – 50 new prints created between 2000 and 2005 – is part of the Cinema Lending Collection: premium-quality prints suitable for screening at prestige events. These include significant feature films, documentaries, cinema advertisements and other material. Most of the prints are available on 35mm. A premium is charged for the use of these prints.
Film Connection
Visit the US National Film Preservation Foundation’s (NFPF) website to see and to learn about eight significant silent short films preserved and returned to the public through this international collaboration between the NFSA and the NFPF. All produced in the United States and presumed lost until found in the NFSA’s collection, the films are available online for research with supporting scholarly research, and are held in both the US and Australia for screenings.
