The Film Australia Collection (FAC) Library is one of the largest and most historically significant sources of archival, documentary and stock footage in the country, representing over 100 years of documentary filmmaking on behalf of the Australian Government.

In addition to film, video and sound recordings, there are more than 100,000 still images in the FAC Library and it continues to expand.

This vast collection of negatives, prints, transparencies and digital files is regularly  being updated with material from Screen Australia’s National Documentary Program,

The copyright of this audio-visual material is held by the National Film and Sound Archive and is managed by the Film Australia Collection Library.

We license the material to a wide range of users, local and international, for publications, exhibitions, websites and film and television productions.
